Is Your Outdated Website Losing You Business?

Nick Sergeant
Owner

You've poured your heart into your business, but when people search for you online, what do they find? A website that looks like it was built in the 90s? Or worse, nothing at all?

"I'm embarrassed to share my website with customers."

Sound familiar? Creating your own website can be a smart and practical thing to do when you're starting. But once you've got customers, it can be a chore to keep your website up to date. The time spent figuring out obscure content management systems, updating WordPress plugins, and responding to security threats—you'll never get it back.

And how can you stand out from your competition when your website looks like all the rest? Website builders like WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix are popular because they're cheap, but your customers can always tell that it wasn't custom designed for your business. If you're trying to sell a premium service to your customers, they'll wonder why you haven't invested in your brand.

"A professional website sounds expensive and time-consuming."

Indeed, many website designers make a Big Deal out of their 20-page proposals and long Zoom meetings for one specific reason: if it sounds like a lot of work, it must be worth the giant price tag.

But this couldn't be further from the truth. Designing a website for a business like yours is not rocket science. It requires one important talent: listening to you talk about what you do, who you do it for, and what makes you unique. If your story isn't the foundation, how could you end up with anything more than a cookie-cutter website?

I put off getting a website done for so long because I did not want to deal with all the prep work and high costs. When I spoke to Nick he explained everything and it was almost too good to be true. He created an amazing website based off a questionnaire he sent. And it has already generated a few leads! I sent him a requests to change some things and he was very quick to responding! Highly recommend!!

Eric Williams, A Master's Touch

A great website is a silent partner, bringing you new business while you focus on what you do best.

Imagine having a website that:

  • Reflects the true quality of your business.
  • Was as easy to update as sending an email.
  • Attracts customers instead of turning them away.
  • Doesn't require you to become a tech expert.
  • Performs like a champ in search engine results.
  • Sets you apart from your competition.

It'd set you apart from your competition, and all the time saved not worrying about your website would allow you to work on your business, not in your business. And your website would net you new customers you wouldn't previously have had the opportunity to serve.

FLX Websites was a huge asset when it came to building out our websites. We had a vision & they executed perfectly. Our business' multiple directions & unique needs were meticulously met and executed by Nick & his team in the promptest manner. Did I mention how quickly this website went up?!

We'll bring your business's website into the modern age, then support the heck out of it.

It all starts with you and your story. We'll take your vision for how you want your business to be presented online, and make it a reality.

You're probably wondering: "sounds great, but what about when I need changes after our new site is live?". It's not uncommon for us to have your requested changes done within minutes, which can be surprising if you're used to working with independent developers or vendors whose primary goal is to crank out large numbers of websites.

And the last thing you need to worry about is your website going out of date with the latest web tech. We're constantly making tweaks to your website when new best practices arise around SEO, accessibility, social media friendliness, and more. We're always picking up new tricks.

We started with FLX Websites for one of our business websites, and were so happy with the results we now have 3 of our businesses with them and refer them regularly! Always positive feedback from the referrals I've passed to them, as well.

Pricing that's designed to be affordable for your business.

We came from big design agencies. They often charge massive fees (over $30k!) just to create your website, then ongoing hosting & maintenance fees (hundreds per month), then an hourly fee anytime you want to make changes.

We don't think you should have to pay so much just to keep your website up to date. We charge a minimal one-time setup fee ($2-4k) based on the size of your site, then a monthly fee ($199-399) that never changes and includes everything. No hourly fees, no surprise invoices. Need changes? Call, text, or email (and be prepared for a speedy response!) Want an updated design for a page or section? It's covered.

It's like having your own in-house web team on speed dial, without the eye-watering salaries.
