Overview
Information on a product or service is readily available on the web, but information combined with a user experience that creates customers—that's what businesses need to stay ahead. Finger Lakes Winery Tours' original website had plenty of relevant information about wine tours, beer trails, and cheese tours across Keuka, Seneca, and Cayuga Lake. What it lacked, however, was a way for site visitors to go from browsing to booking, essentially leaving users to their own devices when it came time to plan and book a tour. The company also had the challenge of balancing their diverse activities without favoring one over the other.
We developed a customer-centric, interactive experience; a one-stop shop that not only explained their offerings but also allowed visitors to become customers by planning their own experience right on the site.

The updated site allows travelers to easily choose their tour (wine, beer, or cheese) from a homepage that gives each one equal real estate. From there, users can fine-tune their experience with the help of an interactive map, which provides a real-time visual of their custom itinerary. The result is a process that makes it easier for both the customer and the company.
The pairing of information with activation transformed the Finger Lakes Winery Tours site from a general resource to a regional leader in Finger Lakes travel experiences.
